• Typical measuring range: 0–3500 or 0–5000 µm (depending on the market lot/version); scale resolution 0.1/1/10 µm.

2) LS237 – advanced version, 3-color display (integrated probe)

• Model: same as LS236 but adds 3-color backlight + 3-color indicator for quick warning of thin/normal/thick.

• Recognition: Fe/Al, plastic, metal putty, galvanized (same as LS236).

• Measurement & display range: 0–5000 µm; LCD 128×48; fast response.

• Application: professional/dealer car inspection—reading color “at a glance” is very convenient when walking along the car body.

3) LS238 – split-type for tight spaces

• Model: split-wire probe—convenient for measuring wheel wells, A/B pillars, door edges, undersides.

• Detection: Fe/Al, plastic, metal putty, galvanized; same 3-color warning background as LS237.

• Measuring range & background conditions: typically Fe min 0.2 mm; Al min 0.05 mm; LCD 128×48.

• Application: tight spaces/complex curves; field survey teams.

• All three models LS236, LS237, LS238 have the same standard accuracy of ≤±(3%H + 2μm), where H is the standard measurement value, meaning the error depends on the percentage of actual thickness plus a small fixed error of 2μm. LS237 and LS238 have wide measuring ranges and similar features, while LS236 also has the same accuracy but has the additional feature of a colored backlight to distinguish the measured paint thickness.
