HN-880CS / HN-790GS CONVEYOR-TYPE NEEDLE DETECTORS
Hashima (Japan) has
launched a brand-new generation of single-head conveyor-type needle detectors:
the HN-880CS and HN-790GS. These machines offer an optimal solution for
detecting magnetic foreign objects, combining industry-leading operating speeds
and high sensitivity (capable of detecting minute steel particles) with smart
operation via a color touchscreen interface.

2.1. Exclusive
dual-operation system: Standard Mode & AP Mode
Hashima’s new CS/GS
series features two flexible operating modes, effectively resolving false alarm
issues while maintaining uncompromising safety:
· Standard Mode: Incorporates new
noise cancellation and suppression technology. This mode actively minimizes
interference from electric fields and environmental vibrations, allowing the
machine to maintain peak inspection performance.
· AP Mode (Accessories
Pass-through Mode):
A significant improvement that allows garments with attached accessories (such
as metal buttons or compliant non-magnetic metal zippers) to pass smoothly
along the conveyor belt without triggering false alarms, all while ensuring
absolute sensitivity in detecting broken needles.
2.2. Conveyor speed of
40 m/min – Industry-leading speed
adjustable speed range
of 15 to 40 m/min. A maximum speed of 40 m/min significantly boosts packaging
productivity, facilitating the rapid clearance of goods at the final QC stage
and preventing bottlenecks.
2.3. Superior
sensitivity – Detection of Fe Ø0.8 mm foreign objects
· With a standard
detection aperture height of 120 mm, the machine accurately detects magnetic
foreign objects as small as Fe Ø0.8 mm. Flexible handling of various garment
thicknesses: In addition to the standard 120 mm height, factory-preset
detection aperture options include 140 mm (Fe Ø1.0 mm), 160 mm (Fe Ø1.2 mm),
and 180 mm (Fe Ø1.5 mm).
· Flexible sensitivity
adjustment: Supports two adjustment methods—numerical (100 steps) or size-based
grading (6 levels).
2.4. 7-inch Color LCD
Touchscreen & Broken Needle Location System
· Intuitive 7-inch LCD
interface: Clearly displays inspection status, sensitivity levels, alarm
history, and product counts.
· Broken Needle Location
Indicator (Detection Position Lamp): Hashima’s proprietary segmented sensor
array divides the detection zone and uses on-screen LEDs to precisely indicate
the horizontal location of a broken needle, allowing operators to find it immediately
without searching the entire product.
2.5. Automated
Calibration with Auto PreChecker®
· Reduces start-of-shift
inspection time using the Auto PreChecker® system and a dedicated test bar
(PreCheck Bar).
· Instead of manually
placing a test sample at each individual sensor point, the system automatically
scans the entire sensor array in a single pass.
· Optional integration
with a dedicated Citizen thermal printer allows for printing sensitivity
inspection records (PreCheck Reports) for factory quality documentation.
2.6. Product Guider
and Environmental Check
· Standard Product
Guider:
Equipped with guide rails on both sides of the conveyor belt to stabilize bulky
items—such as life jackets or coats—preventing them from shifting or rubbing
against the detector frame, which could trigger false alarms.
· Installation
Environment Check:
An environmental self-check function measures ambient vibration and
interference, helping to identify the optimal installation location within the
factory.
